Anyone can write “licensed and insured” on a website. We look the registration up with the state and show the number, the status and the date we checked. Expired or not found means no badge, and no one can pay for one.

Why I built Renovexus
A directory built to be checked, not taken on faith.
I do marketing for kitchen showrooms and remodelers in these states. The homeowners who reach them have often been through the same thing: one quote form at lunch, six calls by dinner, and still no way to tell which of those companies holds a license. Then a no-show on the morning they took off work.
So I built the directory I wanted to send them to. Licenses are checked with the state and dated. Google ratings stay as they are, low ones included. And your request goes to one business, never to a list.

No. Your request goes to one business: the one you picked, or one match who serves your town, named before you send. If we have no match yet, we find one for you. Want more quotes? Tick up to 2 more by name. We never sell it or share it with a list, so nobody else calls because of us.
What if I want more than one quote?
Send a second request to a second pro yourself, from their profile. You decide who gets your number and when.
How do you check licenses?
We look the business up in the state registry (NJ Division of Consumer Affairs; Virginia DPOR Board for Contractors; Maryland Home Improvement Commission) and show the badge only when the record is active, with the date we checked. In Georgia and DC we add it once the business gives us its number and we confirm it with the state.
Are the reviews real?
The ratings are Google’s. We show each business’s Google rating and review count as they stand and never filter or edit them: 129 businesses here show a rating under 4 stars because that is their real rating. Reviews homeowners leave on Renovexus follow our review policy: shown whatever the rating after any required check, with links, email addresses and phone numbers blanked out, and never removed for being negative.
Is it free?
Yes, for homeowners. Businesses are listed free. Some pay for a Featured spot, and it is always labeled “Featured · paid ad”. Paying never buys a license badge or a higher score.
Are showrooms only for expensive remodels?
No. Alongside design showrooms, the list includes 6 in-stock, discount and outlet cabinet stores. Book a visit and ask what they carry in your budget.
What happens after I send a request?
The business contacts you by phone, text or email to talk about the project. If nobody replies within 2 business days, email [email protected] and we match you with another checked pro, free. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
What if a different company calls me?
That should never happen, and it is our promise: if anyone other than the business you chose contacts you because of Renovexus, email [email protected] and we remove that business from the site.
